Bluebird Technology & Consulting is a friendly family-run business with a big focus on providing honest IT advice and keeping IT simple. Too often we have seen complicated systems and overpriced products for small practices causing practices to become unhappy with their systems and staff getting frustrated and irritated leaving everyone wanting things to just work.
Bluebird Technology & Consulting was formed in 2021 after years of going to client sites with only the focus on fixing the immediate issue after the client has called. Not stepping back and looking at the bigger picture and resolving the underlying issue and being more proactive instead of reactive. After doing that day in and day out it got to the point where it was impacting our mental health because it was just going around in circles. This led us to break that chain and have one focus in mind. To help medical centres run their practice as efficiently and effectively as possible using reliable IT services that won’t be complicated or overpriced while providing a proactive response to IT needs instead of a reactive response.
Having discussed common issues with multiple practice managers, nurses and doctors we see time and again complaints such as:
• The computer is doing the blue circle of death and now it is causing issues and patients aren’t filling up the waiting room while doctors and nurses cannot see them due to the practice software being down.
• The Practice Management Software can’t talk to their payment system and they can’t get support quick enough and now they have to bill patients later
• Our MIMS had an automatic update and now all of our 3rd party integrations (Hotdoc, HealthEngine, Cubiko, Automed etc) has stopped working
• Our results have not been working all week
• Our printers constantly drop out and everyone is unable to print
• We don’t understand our system and when we try to find out more, we are told not to worry or made to feel like we shouldn’t ask
• When we call for help our current IT provider says it isn’t their problem and can’t help us and we must contact to Practice Management System support line, but it takes days, weeks and sometimes months to get a response for what is usually a quick fix
• Calling our current IT provider, we are constantly told they will call back when they can and are very rude
• Every time we have to upgrade our software there is always issues and it takes weeks for it to be completed
