About owner and ongoing business philosophy.

Never graduated HS & was expelled from two different High Schools in the process. Once I turned 18 I was told I had to move out on my own with a 9th grade education. Opportunities were limited.

I worked a few labor intensive jobs to get by & just wanted to survive. During that time I enrolled in martial arts classes & dove in head first. It was my outlet & probably the thing that saved me from a downward spiral.

After a period of working labor jobs, I realized that I could so much better than what I was doing & decided to take my GED, & go to college.

While going to school I lived on loans & the small amount I would make from teaching, but it was difficult. After I graduated college, I got a good job but continued running things. Because I was ok financially, I never thought about the money and would teach for free.

Once I stopped actively competing I was going to shut everything down. Many people wanted me to continue on as they would have no guidance to grow in the hobby/sport.

After much consideration I decided to continue on. All that was asked was a good head on your shoulders & dedication to put effort into it. Fast forward a few years, I once again felt that it was time to move on, & once again there was a large demographic asking for me to continue. So I did just that, but in order to do so, we needed to move.

In 2016 I converted to an LLC but was and am still determined to keep the costs low, only concerning myself with the bills. To this day I have NEVER turned anyone away for lack of funds & give as many opportunities for others to hone their skills & perhaps use those skills to create a life for themselves down the road. I have been through a lot, martial arts saved me and can help others.
