Bbohe

Our unique Boho-inspired products are created on farm using our alpaca fleeces. We process our fibre ourselves and each item is handmade using traditional felting techniques and simple tools.

Bbohe was created from a need to use the fibre from our growing alpaca herd in a creative and sustainable way. Alpacas, being soft-footed, tread gently on our ancient soils. Our felt-making process requires only rainwater and olive oil soap.

We are also a zero waste business. All our felt offcuts are repurposed or recycled as insulation, mulch or compost. We strive to exist in harmony with nature.

Mel – our chief designer and felt maker was formerly a teacher, dancer and artist. She is passionate about the natural environment, alternative energy and natural fibres. Mel has spent over a decade developing her felt-making skills.

Mel brings her quirky and emotive personality to her designs. She can often be seen “having a chat” with an alpaca, with our chooks or our black gelding.

Bbohe’s products have the highest level of ecological integrity and we are constantly improving our processes, techniques and products.
