That philosophy is embedded in our name: Anam, meaning ‘soul‘, and Croí ‘heart‘ in our native Irish tongue. Our logo comprises a heart surrounding the ancient Celtic (Gaelic) knot. This continuity of meaning is carried forward through the centuries from our Celtic ancestors to today. Larry Coady is the founder and owner of Anam Croí Tours. Having previously been general manager of one of Ireland's largest small-group tour companies, he's got the experience and knowledge of what it takes to be a top class tour operator. From designing incredible itineraries to guiding small-group adventures, he’s done it all. His expertise spans customer service, logistics, supplier management, and transport, ensuring every tour runs seamlessly. A qualified transport manager and holder of a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism, Larry is committed to making travel both exceptional and responsible. He’s also studied tourism management and holds an honours degree in Irish law—which comes in handy when navigating the fine print of travel regulations! With guaranteed personal service, our public tours have never more than 13 guests on a 16 seat luxury mini-coach. We believe in immersion, which is why our tours stay two nights in towns such as Dingle, Westport and Kinsale, renowned for music and fun (or 'craic' as we'd say in Ireland). This allows our guests to meet the locals and experience the true Ireland. While our tours will hit the big ticket visitor attractions, we also go where others can't reach - unveiling wondrous hidden Irish gems. And, of course we love springing surprises on our guests along the way. Each one of our tours is crafted to avoid crowds and offer memorable Irish experiences. These range from admiring the skills of one of Ireland's last remaining handweavers, getting up close and personal with birds of prey, taking a carriage ride though the majestic forests of Killarney National Park, or partaking in an Irish music and dance show and much more. These are just some of the great memories our guests create during their Ireland adventure with Anam Croí Ireland Tours. Each tour includes a sheep farm and sheep herding experience and being amazed at shepherd and sheep dog gathering the sheep. In Spring that means getting to cuddle the cute baby lambs. We are specialists in collaborating with guests to create custom, bespoke private tours. Clients 'give us their 'must see/must do' list' - then we build their very own bespoke tour. That might involve activities such as hiking, golf, boat tour or, an opportunity to trace their Irish heritage. We've often visited the ruins of a family homestead, abandoned in the 19th century as the occupants sought a better life in a new land. And, we've paid our respects at the gravesides of those who stayed behind. These private tours are ideal for family and friends to celebrate special life occasions with an Ireland vacation.
