AetherHub

Conceived and developed by the visionary duo of André Liverød and Magnus Gustavsen, AetherHub’s inception can be traced back to the autumn of 2016, coinciding with the initial announcement of Magic: The Gathering Arena. Evolving from its origins as a tournament-hosting platform, AetherHub debuted in October 2017. This platform allowed users to effortlessly organize and manage local Magic tournaments, with the web server seamlessly handling pairing and result calculations. Initially, the platform primarily served as the registration hub for the weekly Draft tournaments enjoyed by Magnus and André with their circle of friends.

Following its inaugural launch, AetherHub embarked on a mission to expand its offerings, culminating in developing the DeckHub—a sophisticated deck editor and intuitive browsing interface. Concurrently, André Liverød actively engaged with the Magic: The Gathering Arena Beta community, becoming a daily fixture on Twitch.tv. His dedicated interactions with the community and fellow streamers catalyzed AetherHub’s growth, solidifying its reputation as the go-to MTG Arena-centric platform, renowned for its extensive collection of MTGA-specific deck profiles.

As the years rolled by, AetherHub evolved into a fully-fledged and feature-rich website, further enhancing the experience of MTG enthusiasts. The platform also unveiled valuable tools such as a Twitch extension for displaying decklists and, in January 2020, introduced its very own extension, aptly named MTGA Assistant.
