Acticheck is a small company that started so they could develop the Assure: life-saving wristband, which we believe is the best general purpose alarm for vulnerable people in the world.

The unique features which we have built in are that it is the world’s first continuously worn monitoring wristband, meaning our wearers have continuous protection. To make it permanently wearable we have made it waterproof and made our battery last for a full year! As well as that we had it properly styled and have won international design recognition for its sport tracker looks.
The Assure has three triggers which can call for help. The wearer squeezing the buttons together will call for help. Falls are detected by the wristband monitoring for an impact followed by a period of inactivity. The final trigger is unique to Acticheck and is I’m OK checks. The wearer chooses the times of day that the wristband will vibrate on their wrist and then presses either button on the wristband to confirm they are OK. Lots of users have one in the morning and another in the evening; a modern take having neighbours checking you’ve opened the curtains in the morning and closed them again at night.
We are now developing predictive performance analytics using movement data from the wristband to enable detection and early intervention for infections.
