Main Services
Les Plaisirs du Vin is a Québec-based home winemaking boutique with a story built on entrepreneurship, continuity, and a practical approach to sustainability.
While the brand has been part of the local community for more than 20 years, its newest chapter began through a repreneurship journey connected to Boutique Pur in Blainville.
It started with the acquisition of a small neighborhood boutique that offered a self-serve purified water station, sold wine kits, and provided vinification services. When we operated it under Boutique Pur, our initial focus was centered on the circular economy, helping customers reduce waste through refill habits. We later expanded the concept by adding bulk and wellness products.
At first, wine did not seem like the most obvious fit. But as we listened to customers and observed their habits, the connection became clear.
Winemaking customers naturally embrace reuse. They bring back bottles, refill, repurpose, and value making something at home rather than buying something disposable. The wine side was not a contradiction. It was another expression of the same mindset.
That insight led us to acquire Les Plaisirs du Vin, a specialized winemaking business that had already earned local trust for decades.
Taking over a long-standing boutique comes with a responsibility to preserve what people love while modernizing the experience so it can continue growing. Our approach has been to respect the heritage of the brand, its loyal clientele, and its reputation, while building a stronger foundation for the future.
Today, Les Plaisirs du Vin is not a traditional wine shop selling ready-to-drink bottles. We help people create their own wine, and we also support cider and hydromel projects, either at home or with hands-on guidance in-store.
Customers can choose from a wide range of wine kits and styles, from beginner-friendly options to more advanced selections for those who want deeper complexity. We provide the equipment, supplies, and step-by-step support that make the process feel simple and achievable.
Many first-time customers arrive thinking winemaking is complicated, but leave feeling confident because they have a clear protocol and real human support behind them.
We also offer a full winemaking service that many customers describe as an urban winery experience.
Instead of needing a rural vineyard or a dedicated home setup, clients can come to the boutique and enjoy a guided, city-friendly way to ferment, bottle, and bring their wine project to life.
It turns winemaking into something accessible and memorable. For many people, it becomes a moment of pride they share with friends and family. It is not just about the final bottles. It is about the story behind them and the satisfaction of saying, “I made this.”
As the business evolved, we made a strategic decision to separate the brands clearly. Boutique Pur continues to represent the broader circular economy lifestyle through refill, bulk, and wellness, while Les Plaisirs du Vin stands as the dedicated destination for home winemaking and vinification services.
To support that separation and better serve customers beyond our immediate area, we added an e-commerce component to Les Plaisirs du Vin.
That online expansion allows us to share our products and expertise with customers across Canada and worldwide, while keeping the in-store boutique at the heart of the experience for local clients.
At its core, Les Plaisirs du Vin is about more than kits. It is about carrying forward a tradition that has been loved for decades, strengthening it through repreneurship, and making it accessible to a new generation of home winemakers without losing the warmth, guidance, and pride that made the boutique special in the first place.
