IQ Design – Where Technical Expertise Meets Everyday Impact IQ Design is a family-run manufacturing company based in Canada, built around a simple belief: small, well-designed tools can make a meaningful difference in everyday life. We create high-quality 3D-printed sensory tools and fidgets that help people focus, regulate, and navigate busy environments — while keeping things fun, tactile, and genuinely satisfying to use. Our journey with 3D printing began long before it became mainstream. Alexandre, who leads all production, has worked with additive manufacturing since 2012, starting with our very first machine. What began as technical curiosity evolved into deep manufacturing expertise and a structured production system capable of handling both small creative runs and high-volume orders with precision. While many know us for our infinity cubes and sensory tools, our experience extends far beyond consumer products. We also manufacture technical components, including custom motorcycle parts and electronic housings. This industrial background strengthens everything we do — from material selection to durability and finish quality — allowing us to combine engineering rigor with creative design. Our manufacturing roots were established even earlier. Since 2008, we have been involved in producing innovative pet products under the Aïkiou brand. During that time, Alexandre Tremblay and the Aïkiou concept were featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and the product was recognized as Best New Product at Global Pet Expo in 2013. That experience shaped the standards we maintain today: innovation, quality control, and scalable production. IQ Design is truly a family operation. Kathleen brings over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, and our daughters, Joany and Gabrielle, grew up immersed in both the production environment and customer service. Today, they actively contribute to operations and client communication, helping us stay close to the people we serve. All products are manufactured in-house using plant-based PLA that is BPA-free and phthalate-free. We serve both direct-to-consumer customers and retail partners, and we collaborate on branded kits, corporate initiatives, and larger production projects. In a market saturated with disposable novelty items, we focus on durability, smooth movement, and everyday usability. At IQ Design, engineering precision meets human intention — creating tools that are functional, cool, and thoughtfully made.
