With over 40 years of clinical experience, I am a highly experienced integrative mental health professional specializing in complex, trauma-related conditions. I completed my graduate training at Harvard Medical School and hold licensure and certifications in psychotherapy, functional nutrition, therapeutic massage, and bodywork. I work with individuals facing the lasting effects of traumatic stress, including insomnia, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and challenges related to tapering psychiatric medications. My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and deeply personalized, addressing the interconnected physical, emotional, and cultural dimensions of healing. I bring advanced cultural competence to my work, with specialized expertise in traditional Indigenous medicines and cross-cultural healing practices within Mexican American and Latine communities. This perspective allows me to honor each client’s lived experience while integrating evidence-based and traditional modalities. In addition to my clinical practice, I am the author of ten books and an educator who teaches postgraduate continuing education (CE) and continuing medical education (CME) courses to clinicians nationwide.
