Lesson Maker Pro What We Do Lesson Maker Pro is an AI-powered teaching assistant built by a classroom teacher to help educators create complete, classroom-ready lessons and materials in a fraction of the time. Instead of spending hours on lesson planning, teachers describe what they want to teach and work with our AI assistant in natural conversation to build out everything they need, including complete lesson plans, worksheets, slideshows, teacher guides, and more. My Background I'm Matt Gottilla, and I built Lesson Maker Pro after spending over a decade as a classroom teacher. I was a founding teacher at High Tech Middle Mesa and continue to mentor teachers there, and I've experienced firsthand how much time lesson planning takes and the shortcomings of most existing planning tools. The reality is that most AI-generated lesson content feels incredibly generic. It reads like it was written by someone who's never actually taught kids. Time estimates are unrealistic. Resources aren't provided. Instructions tend to be terribly vague and often gloss over the parts that actually matter in a real classroom. That frustrated me, so I built something better. I took everything I learned from over a decade teaching, what actually works in classrooms, how lessons need to be structured, what information teachers actually need, and baked that expertise into how Lesson Maker Pro generates content. The result is lesson plans and materials that are genuinely ready to use, not rough drafts or unusable outlines. How It's Different Most lesson planning tools give you a form to fill out, then spit out a basic template. Lesson Maker Pro works more like having a conversation with a knowledgeable colleague. You can say things like "I need a 50-minute lesson on the water cycle for 6th graders, something hands-on" and iterate from there. Want to adjust the focus? Add an extension for fast finishers? Make it work with materials you actually have? Just say so. The Teaching Assistant generates: Detailed lesson plans with realistic timing Step-by-step teacher guides Student-ready worksheets and handouts Complete slide presentations Supplementary materials like coloring pages, student notes, and more Everything is designed to be used in a real classroom. Not "here's a general description of a theoretical lesson"; here's something you can actually walk into your classroom with tomorrow. What Teachers Say Teachers tell me they’re able to plan lessons in a fraction of the time. But more importantly, they say they feel less stressed and more confident walking into class. One high school science teacher shared that it “makes me feel less anxious because I know I can go to this and find the resources I need.” A 6th-grade teacher described the Teaching Assistant as “a game changer.” The feedback that means the most to me is hearing that the lessons actually work in real classrooms. While saving teachers time is important, creating engaging lessons and better outcomes for students is the real goal. Who It's For Lesson Maker Pro works for teachers at any grade level and in any subject. I've seen it used for STEAM activities, literacy instruction, math centers, project-based learning, and pretty much everything in between. The AI adapts to what you're trying to accomplish rather than forcing you into a template. Why I Built This Teaching is hard. Planning shouldn't make it harder. I got into this to give teachers their time back so they can focus their energy on their students instead of staring at blank documents at 10pm.
