When the stores ran out of yeast during the pandemic, Frithjof started baking bread with sourdough. The first loaves were barely edible but he kept improving.

In 2023 Frithjof combined his passion for teaching and baking and started the website Sourdough.Guide where he shares courses, recipes and recommendations for tools. He focuses on recipes and methods for home bakers.
Frithjof lives in Kelowna and works at Okanagan College. He shares his life and his baking with Stanley the cat, Pierre the dog and his wife, Michele.
