They must meet three criteria:

– use minimal preservatives or synthetic chemicals
– paraben-free
– vegan is a plus but not necessary
– skin-safe for all skin types
2. Eco-friendly packaging
– waste-free OR
– 100% Recyclable OR
– Recycled materials of 50% or more
3. Website
– strong social proof
– ratings of 4 stars or higher
– transparent about ingredients used in products
