Meet Our Founder – Ria Moothilal

Air School Paragliding was founded by Ria Moothilal, an experienced instructor with over a decade of paragliding expertise, as well as 1000+ skydives and hundreds of base jumps. His background in data science and analysis has shaped his precise and methodical approach to paragliding education, making Air School a leader in weather forecasting for paragliders. Ria’s passion for flight, his dedication to his students, and his active participation in local and international competitions set him apart as one of the most trusted instructors in South Africa.

Courses We Offer

Our Beginner’s Paragliding Course covers the essentials of take-off, landing, and flight control, offering personalized instruction and ground training before transitioning students to solo flights. We also offer supervised student training through to solo licenses, advanced weather forecasting courses, and customized private lessons for those seeking more personalized instruction. For licensed pilots, we offer advanced mentorship and skill-building programs.
