axiVEND offers equipment and services for the production and use of multiplex tests.
Main Services
Such tests often involve microarrays of oligos, antigens, antibodies, glycans, or small molecules, are used to study protein profiles, gene expression, or to detect biomarkers or analytes.
We carry M2-Automation spotters which are the best-in-class low volume precision liquid dispensing systems. These systems enable the dispensing of liquid droplets from 20 picolitres up to several microliters of solutions. Dispense heads, for piezo picolitre dispensing, nanoliter dispensing, and contact pin spotting, can be easily interchanged on the same units. Liquids can range from aqueous protein and oligo solutions to small compounds in DMSO, cell suspensions, and chemicals in organic solvents. Target devices can be slides, microtiter plates, lateral flow membranes, silicon wafers, as well as any custom biosensors. Beyond the sale and support of the spotters, we also provide development services to implement customer production protocols onto the systems.
We also carry a novel multiplex label-free reader platform from iRiS Kinetics. This technology also enables exceptional sensitivity for the detection of biomarkers, exosomes, and viruses. It is superior to the classic SPR technology in that it is more sensitive, more stable for long experiments, and immune to bulk effects from solvents. It also allows for digital single nanoparticle counting. Applications includes accurate characterization of viral vectors, impacting gene therapy and vaccine development, and super sensitive detection of bacteria and viruses for infectious diseases research. We are an integral partner of iRiS Kinetics Inc. We produce the MX-104 systems in our facility, with full assembly and testing capabilities.
To analyze microarrays, we offer colorimetric and fluorescent microarray imagers. The readers offer a very simple operator interface to read microarrays based on HRP or alkaline phosphatase, or those based on fluorescent dyes.
We are also the US distributer for PolyAn functionalized slides and microtiter plates. The surfaces represent high quality surfaces onto which we print microarrays.
Beyond equipment sale and support, we also offer a range of services. Spotting services allow our customers to preserve capital funds and outsource their microarray production or biosensor production to us. We operate under ISO13485 protocols and utilize a modern clean room environment. Beyond spotting as a service, we also assist our customers with full test development capabilities.
