Blackburn Consulting, Accounting and Tax

With more than 30 years of experience in the accounting field and with nonprofits organizations, Audrey opened her own firm from her home and built a thriving practice.

In August 2020, she hired staff and moved to her current location in Advance, North Carolina. Since then, her practice has rapidly grown and expanded to include taxes to their list of services.

Audrey’s no-nonsense approach to accounting and finances allows business owners to clearly understand the numbers behind their businesses, and nonprofits to take off the stress of having under qualified staff manage complicated accounting procedures so they can thrive.

Audrey’s clients love that she is able to offer solutions to fix the issues in their books without judgment, make them feel at ease about growing a business and both fun and friendly to interact with.

Audrey focuses on women owned businesses and women led nonprofits as she believes she can help move them from a place of scarcity to one of abundance.

She holds a Bachelor of Business from UOP and a Master of Accountancy from Gardner-Webb University. She has over 30 years of experience in accounting and specializes in nonprofit accounting. She has worked in many small business and nonprofit organizations over the years.

Audrey is married to Will and has two children, a daughter in law, a granddaughter, a cat, Luna and a dog, Sugar. She lives in Advance, NC. When Audrey is not at work you will find her enjoying time with her family by the pool or traveling to warmer locations.

As a sole proprietor or LLC, your business taxes will get filed under personal taxes.

S-Corps and Partnerships
S-Corps, Partnerships and C-Corps require a separate tax return from your personal return. These are due March 15th and must be filed first, before a personal return can be filed.

We meet semi-annually with our S-Corps and C-Corp clients, or preferably, handle their monthly bookkeeping.

Nonprofits that are 501c3’s must file an annual tax return with the IRS. There are 3 types of 990 tax returns depending on the organization’s size and revenue. We file the 990N (e-postcard), 990EZ and the full 990 return. Please contact us to schedule a consultation.
