Going Up Education

The Beginning of Going Up Education:
Our ESL Curriculum business was born when the Chinese government shut down many Online ESL Companies. Thousands of teachers were out of work and starting private teaching, our founder included. As Teacher Rachel built lessons for her private students, she saw an opportunity to share her resources with other teachers that needed lesson plans. The result was the Going Up Education ESL Curriculum.

Going Up ESL Curriculum:
Our curriculum has over 100 lessons, spanning six levels, with a perfect balance of reading, writing, grammar, and speaking exercises. We use colorful 3D graphics and engage the students with interesting multi-disciplinary themes. One day we might discuss a science topic like the rock cycle, and another day socio-emotional learning themes like Growth Mindset! We make it a point to teach students about other cultures and inspire them to explore the Earth. Varying lesson topics allows us to connect with a wide range of students with different interests.

Our ESL curriculum values diversity, and we work hard to reflect that in our characters. Our lessons include graphics from different races, religions, and disabled groups. As we grow, we will seek out graphic designers from marginalized groups to help build out our inclusive content even further.

Going Up Education offers interactive lessons with features to keep your student focused during class. Going Up classes include fun gifs, audio files, and video content. They also have clickable effects, hover effects, drag-drop activities, and games. Although some lessons are not interactive yet, we are working to convert all ESL lessons to an interactive format.

How to Sign Up:
To become a teacher-astronaut with Going Up Education, simply visit our website and sign up for a free month trial. This will give you access to all of our lessons. You can stream them straight from your browser into your favorite teaching platform (Zoom, ClassIn, or others). Save space on your computer by not needing to download any teaching materials. After the free trial, our monthly memberships cost $5 to $20 a month, depending on when you sign up. Right now, we have a special $5 monthly membership for life.

Free ESL Downloads and Resources:
We offer more than just ESL curriculum slides! Our visitors can check out our Downloads Shop for countless free downloads and worksheets. Many of our downloads work nicely as homework packets for your online ESL students. Some notable downloads include 2D Prop Packs, Sight Word Series Books, and Alphabet Tracing Workbooks. These downloads are available free for all teachers with a free teacher account.

The Going Up Education Blog:
Online ESL Teachers can read our education blog. We cover topics related to Online ESL Teaching and language learning in general.
