xyzAsia magazine

Thailand

xyzAsia is an online magazine for older independent travellers in Asia.

Main Services:

xyzAsia magazine

The writing team comprises retired journalists David Astley and Alan Williams who have lived in Asia for more than 25 years, Nannette Holliday, a professional travel writer, and Jillian Huntley, a university lecturer with a special interest in sustainable tourism and Asian culture.

The magazine is designed to appeal to independent travellers in Asia who are interested in learning about the history and local cultures of the places they visit, enjoy sampling the local cuisines, visiting art galleries and museums, attending concerts, festivals and other special events, and getting back to nature through easy hikes and visits to national parks.

xyzAsia also accepts contributions from freelance travel writers 50+ who wish to publish an article about trips they have undertaken in Asia, focusing on unique experiences and tips for travellers that can’t be found from other online sources.

The magazine prides itself on publishing quality content that is based on the personal experience of its writers – not travel articles that are a rehash of what can be found on thousands of other travel websites.

Many online travel magazines are now using AI to create content. xyzAsia’s editorial policies specifically prohibit the use of AI. All published content is based on the personal knowledge of the writers.
