Our quest is to recognize that which was remarkable from the past and acknowledge the Ethos or the characteristics of a previous era as manifested in its beliefs or aspirations, and honor these qualities and values in everything we do. We aspire to provide products that are timeless in design, have an inherent style and are coveted moving forward.<\/p>\n

Our Story:<\/p>\n

Over 33 years of experience has brought Absolute Classics to the pinnacle of the Classic Boat world in North America. From its beginnings in 1989 as Middleton Boatworks we have built a solid reputation as a premier wooden boat restoration shop and classic boat brokerage in Western Canada and The Pacific Northwest. Founded by Andrew Middleton who followed his dreams by training as a wooden boat craftsman at the Wooden Boat School in Lowestoff, England.<\/p>\n

Soon after completing his first restorations he quickly boasted clients from all over the World adding dozens of show winning restorations including a first place finish at the prestigious Lake Tahoe Concours d\u2019Elegance with \u2018Diddit\u2019 a 1941 Chris Craft 19\u2019 Custom (Barrelback).<\/p>\n

As his reputation grew more and more clients were looking for ways to source and sell classic boats and supplies. In 2006 after enlisting the support of his brothers Bruce and Peter, who both shared his love of boats and boating, a decision was made to officially rename to Absolute Classics Marine – to sell and service both original classic and neo-classic boats.<\/p>\n

Now, in 2022 we’re growing again with a new modern website and expanded focus.
