Salt & Skin Wellness began in 2021, when founder Jackie purchased Shellharbour Salt Therapy & Skin Care, a clinic that focused primarily on salt therapy.<\/p>\n
Having personally experienced the incredible benefits of halotherapy, Jackie saw an opportunity to create something much bigger than a salt room. This was also a time when COVID had changed the world, and health and wellness had become a much greater lifestyle priority for many people.<\/p>\n
But it was a deeply personal family experience that would ultimately shape the future of the business and the philosophy behind everything we do.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen my daughter was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2022 at just 18 years of age, it changed the way I viewed health forever.<\/p>\n
Like any parent, I wanted to understand if there was anything I could do to better support my family\u2019s health. I began researching the ingredients hidden in everyday skincare, haircare, body care, cosmetics, and household products, and I was shocked by what I found.<\/p>\n
I discovered that many products we use every day contain parabens, sulphates, synthetic fragrances, fillers, and other ingredients that can disrupt our hormones and affect our health.<\/p>\n
That journey completely changed the way I chose products for my family and for the business. It was not just about treating the outside. It was about supporting the body as a whole.<\/p>\n
That experience inspired me to transform our clinic into a space that prioritises cleaner products, holistic wellness, and education, so our clients can make informed choices for themselves and their families.<\/p>\n
My mission is to help people understand that true wellness begins from within. Whether that means choosing non-toxic skincare, improving gut health, supporting scalp health, or simply taking time to slow down and care for yourself, every small change matters.<\/p>\n
I want every client who walks through our doors to feel empowered, supported, and confident that they are investing in their health as well as their wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n
This personal journey became the foundation of Salt & Skin Wellness.<\/p>\n
As the business evolved, so did Jackie\u2019s vision. Beauty treatments, massage therapy, brow and lash services, infrared sauna, scalp health treatments, and holistic wellness offerings were carefully introduced to complement the clinic\u2019s philosophy of treating the whole person, rather than simply addressing symptoms.<\/p>\n
In 2024, the business entered an exciting new chapter. After relocating to a larger premises, Shellharbour Salt Therapy & Skin Care was rebranded as Salt & Skin Wellness, a name that better reflects who we are today.<\/p>\n
We also introduced our signature Japanese Head Spa, further expanding our commitment to holistic health, scalp wellness, relaxation, and premium self-care experiences.<\/p>\n
Today, Salt & Skin Wellness is more than a wellness clinic.
