As we age, we ultimately will get to the point where we have to downsize from the home that we have lived in for decades into a smaller condo or apartment or even into a retirement home or nursing home. Alternatively, we may pass away and our executor will be left to deal with selling the property and contents and all the responsibilities that come with settling the estate. At that time, one of the biggest physical challenges we will go through, whether as the senior or the executor, is “what do I do with all my stuff?”

Transition Squad is a full service downsizing company that does estate sales and online auctions to help seniors downsize and families settle an estate. The online auction, using our own online auction platform, is designed to create a bidding war for your more desirable items while the in-person estate sale is designed to sell more of the everyday items and garage sale items. Our hybrid approach of doing both gives you the best of both worlds at a much more affordable price.

When selling anything these days, there are two parts – 1) the onsite work of photography, copywriting, pricing, cataloguing and managing the pickup, and 2) the backend work of conducting the online selling, marketing and credit card processing. Clients can elect to use our platform to do the onsite work on a do-it-yourself basis with free training and support while Transition Squad does the backend work, or hire us on a convenient, fully managed basis to do everything for you.

We have also set up a network of Premier Partner Realtors. If you are selling your property anyway and you opt to sell through one of our Partner Realtors, then you would be eligible for up to 100% discount on your estate sale and auction fees.

Lastly, if you would like a quick close on the property without the expense of real estate commissions, repair costs and carrying costs, we can even provide you with a no-obligation offer to buy the property and contents AS-IS. You simply take what is important to you and leave the rest for us to deal with, including any junk you would like disposed of or donated.

"image_1":"https://diib.com/featuredmembers/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/transitionsquad1.jpg
"image_2":false,"image_3":false
