Photography is the primary medium through which I express my artistic vision. I continuously explore in-camera effects to breathe life into my work. Techniques such as in-camera movement and multiple exposures allow me to create abstract compositions filled with energy and depth. These methods are more than technical skills; they are vital to my process of bending time and inviting viewers into alternate realities, offering an immersive experience that encourages a deeper, sensory connection with my art.

The core of my artistic journey is based on a natural inclination to perceive the world in abstract forms, perpetually shaping the way I create. I find inspiration in impressionist masters like Monet and Matisse, who captured their subjects’ essence and dynamism through blurred forms and vibrant colors, highlighting the fleeting nature of light and color. Modern influences also shape my work; David Hockney’s search for a “truer way of seeing” resonates profoundly with me. His innovative mindset and embrace of new technologies inspire me to delve deeper into my creative process.

Music has been a profound influence on my artistic journey since childhood. Years of playing piano, flute, and singing have enriched my experiences, linking the urban landscapes to a symphonic unfolding where subjects come together. The rhythms and melodies from my musical background guide the emotional and energetic flow of my images, while my intuitive sense of anticipation enhances my ability to perceive and capture those fleeting, decisive moments.

In my photography, I strive to communicate a rich tapestry of experiences that transcends the visual. Each image aims to capture not just what I see, but what I feel—the sounds, energy, and atmosphere present at the moment of creation. My photography acts as a bridge, transforming these lived experiences into a visual dialogue with my audience.

Ultimately, my work is a celebration of light and movement, an exploration of perception through an abstract lens. I hope to invite others to see the world from my viewpoint and, in doing so, reach an understanding that provides peace. Through my art, I want to extend a form of outreach, a message: you are not alone.

"image_1":"https://diib.com/featuredmembers/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/angieharker1.jpg
"image_2":false,"image_3":false
