As a somatic therapist, I am deeply relational, affirming, somewhat directive, and have a sense of humor. My approach to therapy is rooted in Formative Psychology, and with couples in particular, I utilize the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) model. Both of these approaches are somatic (body-based), experiential (learning-by-doing), and relational (human-to-human relating) practices, making them a winning combination for supporting individuals and couples with managing the complexity of being human, and being in relationship. My areas of specialization include working with: Anxiety, Boundaries, Relational issues\/struggles, Trauma\/C-PTSD, and Transitions\/loss. I offer a hybrid psychotherapy practice based in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, where I see clients in person and online over telehealth.<\/p>\n","url":"https:\/\/www.courtenayhouksomatictherapy.com\/","url_text":"courtenayhouksomatictherapy.com","main_services":"Somatic Psychotherapy, Couples Counseling, Relationship Counseling, Individual Therapy","image_1":"https:\/\/diib.com\/featuredmembers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Logo-Courtenay-Houk-Somatic-Therapy-1.jpg","client_review":"","why_we":"","history":"","image_2":false,"image_3":false},"yoast_head":"\nCourtenay Houk Somatic Therapy -
