Judy York first experienced the benefits of executive coaching when she was the CEO of a small women-owned business which was one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in America at the time. As the company grew in size and complexity, each year called for reinvention of both her leadership as well as the business. Sometimes new skills came naturally and sometimes she sought support to build the new developmental muscles needed. As the company became more strategic in focus, they began to direct their growth in ways that provided the kind of value which lead to a successful exit event in 2011 to a Fortune 500 company.<\/p>\n
From these experiences, Judy York knows about fast growth and the stresses and challenges executives and entrepreneurs face. At some point, especially when building rapidly growing companies or stepping into new opportunities, they can find themselves up against a wall in terms of their own skills and capacities. Sometimes old, persistent patterns get in the way of their ability to fully live into their goals and aspirations. As a certified Integral Master Coach\u2122 she focus on helping executives and entrepreneurs develop the muscles needed to weather these changes, boldly step into their roles, and confidently lead from a more strategic stance.<\/p>\n
Grounded in Integral Theory, as an executive leadership coach she works from a holistic model of how change occurs \u2013 considering not only her clients and the unique way they move in the world, but also who and what supports them in the ever-changing landscape they operate in. Together, they develop a clear understanding of where they are, a vision of where they long to be, and co-create a program to build the muscles they need to grow and embody this new vision.<\/p>\n
Trueform Leadership is currently producing an interview series, Leaders Rising, highlighting leaders who have experienced adverse childhood experiences either from family of origin experiences with childhood abuse, parental addiction and abandonment or societal experiences of trauma that include racial discrimination, sexual discrimination, homophobia, or other bullying. In this project, Judy York interviews leaders to explore the impacts of these traumas on their leadership development \u2013 identifying both the leadership gifts and challenges that stemmed from their experiences. Most importantly, we explore he moves they\u2019ve made to transcend hardship and openly face the ragged edges that still remain to inspire hope for others on similar journeys.<\/p>\n
