Spirit of Bermondsey is inspired by the rich and vibrant history of Bermondsey, the birthplace of London’s gin culture. From the chaotic and often drunken world of the 18th century to the bustling gateway to the world in the 19th century, Bermondsey was once lined with warehouses that stored the most exotic and aromatic spices that London had ever seen.<\/p>\n
With a blend of Cardamom, Coriander Seed, and Black Pepper, Trinity25 captures the essence of these exotic flavours in a smooth and flavorful gin-based spirit. Our founder, Nick Johnson, a local Councillor in the Bermondsey area, became captivated by the area’s rich history and the lore of the spice warehouses. He set out to create a gin that not only paid homage to this history but also created a wonderful drinking experience. At Spirit of Bermondsey, we believe that quality is key, that’s why we use only the finest 100% English Grain Spirit to create Trinity25 and distil right here in London.
\nBut Trinity25 isn’t just a Session Spirit, it’s a story. The old warehouses have now been transformed into fashionable flats that still retain the names of the spices that were once stored within their walls – Vanilla & Sesame Court; Cardamom Building; Nutmeg House and as Trinity25 brings the flavours of Bermondsey’s past to life, we can’t help but wonder what our next step will be.
