At Furbubba, we are having fun designing innovative solutions for dog and cat parents, testing products on our own fur-family and sourcing production partners who meet strict environmental, ethical and community standards (that\u2019s been the hardest bit!)<\/p>\n
Along the way we realised there is a lot of support for human parenting but not as much support available for pet parenting. So, we are curating some great content and connecting like-minded fur-parents via our blog and social media communities.<\/p>\n
But that\u2019s not all. let\u2019s face it, the best thing about dogs and cats is that they bring a whole lot of joy into the world. Who can resist a cute furry puppy or a LOL cat? So we wanted to create a place where we could have some fun and share amazing stories.<\/p>\n
ECO-CONSCIOUS PET PRODUCTS
\nWe are proud to be developing premium quality products that are eco-friendly. However, it is not just about the environment, we want our products to be the best for your pet and for you as a pet parent, as well as the planet.<\/p>\n
Our product development approach is to start with input from our pet parenting community, researching their needs and understanding what makes the best product for that category. We then seek the best production partners globally that meet our sustainability and social responsibility requirements. That\u2019s what makes our products an eco-conscious choice. We aim to balance the environment and the community impact of our production choices, including working with partners who commit to a modern slavery policy.<\/p>\n
SUPPORTING NEPALESE WOMEN
\nWe partner with a fair trade certified, female-founded producer in Nepal that supports regional Nepalese women to create beautiful hand-made felt products. All of which use non-toxic dyes and pure New Zealand wool. Felt is not only sustainably sourced and biodegradable but through our testing, it was the best product to balance comfort and durability whilst standing up to the demands of your pets, including cat claws! <\/p>\n
COMPOSTABLE DOG POOP BAGS
\nRecognising that there were a lot of biodegradable plastic dog waste bag solutions on the market, that actually leave micro-plastics in the ecosystem, our research led us to produce a compostable dog poop bag with a high specification that met the needs of our pet parent community. <\/p>\n
Furbubba dog poop bags are designed by pet parents, for pet parents. They told us they wanted a leakproof solution with handles and that they hated when they could see their dog\u2019s business through the thin plastic! So, we made our poop bags the highest microns on the market \u2013 and better than biodegradable, they are certified compostable according to global standards.<\/p>\n
DURABLE DOG BEDS, DESIGNED TO LAST
\nAfter undertaking our own research amongst Australian pet parents, we were shocked to discover that on average, they were throwing away one dog bed each year. <\/p>\n
With approximately 6.3 million dogs in Australia, living on average for 12 years, we estimated a whopping 37.8 million dog beds will go to landfill over the life of those dogs. Sadly, this environmental impact is one of the biggest problems with our pooches\u2019 beds.<\/p>\n

We are also busy working on a range of sustainable dog toys and other great accessories for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes.<\/p>\n
COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
\nWhere possible we pledge to use recycled materials rather than virgin materials. We aim to minimise mixed materials, to enable easier recycling. And ensure our packaging follows these same standards. <\/p>\n
Our commitment is to move away from the fast fashion mindset of the pet industry that has led to a disposable deluge of cheap pet products. We are proud to bring premium quality and durability to the industry.<\/p>\n
