Simultaneously, more and more teens experience trauma due to sexual abuse and other childhood trauma. More than two-thirds of children in the U.S. reported at least one traumatic experience by age 16. <\/p>\n<p>About Our Founder<\/p>\n<p>This website exists thanks to the generosity of Mr. John Baisden, JR, an author and co-founder of the Turning Winds Academic Institute. John lost his seventeen-year-old sister when he was a teenager. He felt powerless to help her as he watched his family struggle with her without success. <\/p>\n<p>Mr. Baisden realized that now he could shine a light on the effects and causes of teen trauma. This is the origin of  teentrauma.com. <\/p>\n<p>Join us.
