These are 4-finned galvanised steel spikes with a side screw cuff on the top. Using a small blank, the spikes are hammered into the ground and then the wooden post is dropped into the cuff and the bolts tightened. There is no need to dig holes, use concrete or dig up your garden, they can be used in situ – no electricity required. They take about a minute to hammer in and the post can be erected straight away, without waiting for the concrete to cure. As the cuffs have side screws there is no ingress into the wood, so no nasty molds or bacteria can attack the wood. Also, you are not putting “nasty” chemicals (concrete) into the ground. Less wood is required as only 150mm of the post sits in the cuff and no digging 600mm deep holes.
\nThey can be used for: fencing, framing, priviacy fencing, steps, walkways, dog runs and chicken coops, pergolas, lean-tos, solar panel frames, raised garden beds, low retaining walls, security cameras, lighting, decking – anything that needs a post.
