\nFrom the outset, Pasithea has been created with sustainability as a core principle. We utilise beautiful natural fabrics that are biodegradable and independently certified throughout the production process.<\/p>\n
At each stage, we have considered how we can reduce our impact, from textile production through to manufacturing and packaging. This way you can sleep easy in the knowledge that our products take care of the environment as well as your comfort.<\/p>\n
Making a difference
\nOur founder has enjoyed a 25 year career working in the apparel industry. Her love for the industry has been tempered by her concern at the slow progress being made to reduce harmful environmental and ethical practices.<\/p>\n
Wanting to be a part of the solution, Pasithea has partnered with ethical growers, suppliers and customers to make sustainable choices at each stage of a garment’s life cycle. This consideration extends to design and manufacturing through to packaging and even the way our products arrive at your door.<\/p>\n
At its heart, Pasithea is born out of a desire to do better. To show that we don\u2019t need to compromise when it comes to style and sustainability. With the hope that we can all sleep a little better.<\/p>\n
Our Robes carry the GOT (Global Organic Textile standard) certification. This certification standard covers all aspects of textile production, from the harvesting of raw materials through to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing.<\/p>\n
The cotton used for our robes is grown without the use of genetically modified seeds, synthetic fertilisers or toxic pesticides, making it safer for cotton farmers to work. This also protects the soil and surrounding environment from contamination.<\/p>\n
Bamboo Sleepwear<\/p>\n
The Bamboo fabric used to make our sleepwear and bed linen has been tested according to OEKO-TEX\u00ae, a globally recognised testing standard. This means there are no harmful chemicals in the production process, from the harvested fibre through to the spinning, weaving and the dyeing processes. Our fabric is free of harmful substances such as azo dyes and formaldehyde, ensuring all garments are comfortable and safe for your skin.<\/p>\n
Bamboo is a sustainable and healthy alternative to synthetic satin fabrics that dominate the sleepwear market. Not only is it kinder on the earth, bamboo is also carbon neutral, water efficient and one of the most rapidly regenerating plants in existence. The inherent microbial properties of bamboo also eliminate the need for pesticides and fertiliser, making it a healthier choice for everyday wear.
