\nThis is important because many doctors can treat patients however, we need to interact with attorneys and insurance companies to get the patient’s bill paid so there is no out of pocket cost to the patient. This occurs when we correlate causality (the accident) with bodily injuries( pain, whiplash, etc.) and bodily injury to functional loss (“I can sit, sleep, walk, exercise, etc. without pain). In other words, the correct billing codes, correct notes, correct tests and correct treatment needs to be performed so that there are no objections by the insurance company to pay the bill and can be defended in court.
