Her compulsion to make a difference in their lives came from her own personal experience.<\/p>\n<p>Zoe\u2019s journey with disability started with the premature arrival of her daughter. Zoe and her husband were blessed with a healthy child they named Courtney. Soon, however, their baby girl was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Being told that their baby would never walk or talk was heart-wrenching to hear as parents.<\/p>\n<p>Zoe and her husband made it their mission to surround their daughter with early intervention, the right support and determination. At age 5, Courtney took her first steps. Today, Courtney is a happy, healthy, walking, talking and very capable young adult who is studying to pursue a career in childcare.<\/p>\n<p>It was because of this journey that Zoe felt compelled to reach out to help others who may be feeling helpless, alone or isolated.
