Web Odyssey, LLC

I believe that web design is an odyssey, not necessarily a long voyage, but full of different and exciting discoveries. Like the ship’s captain, a designer’s job is to stay faithful to the client’s vision by navigating the current best web design practices and standards. Web Odyssey would like to make this journey with you. Together, we can make a website that embodies these principles and effectively reaches your audience.

I started setting up family reunion websites in the 1990s, then moved on to designing sites for small businesses and medical professionals. I learned design principles along the way, getting my certificate in Web Design from Pima Community College in 2011, and have completed numerous online courses in design, UX/UI, and code implementation. Over the years, there have been a lot of changes in how we design for desktop, tablet, and mobile device platforms to create an exciting and creative online environment. Today’s websites focus more on searchability, speed, content, and responsiveness across all platforms.

My services include website redesign for a WordPress site. A redesign can freshen content and bring new users to a site. I use WooCommerce for all e-commerce needs. WooCommerce is the industry standard and offers several payment portals. Every website should have some form of analytics; Google Analytics has been the standard for this. I leverage “page speed insight” to find areas that need speed optimization, along with plugins to optimize databases and handle caching. I use the leading SEO plugin to manage your SEO needs. It is easy to use and is proven to get results. I also offer website maintenance. Keeping your website up to date is vital for running smoothly without downtime. I offer training and teach clients how to input blog content and images.
