Visit Fylde Coast, published by The Rabbit Patch Ltd

At the time of its creation there wasn’t any promotion of Cleveleys and Fleetwood (the northern end of the Fylde Coast) and we wanted to share this amazing part of the world with everyone!

So we built, populated and illustrated in photos a set of linked websites covering Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Poulton, Blackpool, Lytham and St Annes. Covering places where people were starting to get information we began a weekly email newsletter and social media pages. These are still being produced, along with a popular YouTube channel, started when the Covid pandemic began. Everything is linked across channels to give people the best experience of using our digital product and the best experience when they make a real-life visit.

Visit Fylde Coast also partners with independent hoteliers association StayBlackpool and lists all member properties. We also promote the organisation itself and individual business members on an ongoing basis. These are mostly independent hotels, guest houses and b&b’s and there’s some amazing (but not that well known) gems among them. If anyone’s looking for somewhere to stay in the Blackpool area this directory is great place to start. We try to show each of these hard-working businesses off to their full advantage!

Various destination management organisations and local authorities are active to varying degrees in this patch. But Visit Fylde Coast still remains unique in that it’s the only product to only concentrate on this entire peninsula of land which is formed by two rivers – the Ribble and Wyre. Visitors don’t see boundaries between towns and authorities and freely wander between the towns here as part of their experience. So Visit Fylde Coast presents everything that they can see and do, all in one handy place.

Don’t forget to check out the guide to what’s on in Blackpool and the surrounding area. Literally hundreds of things to do are added on a daily basis so there’s always something new there. From small community events which locals might enjoy to huge great big galas and outdoor shows. It’s all there.

Our tone of publishing is also different – we always try to be clear and easy to understand. We can’t help but be friendly and we’re always honest. This means that Visit Fylde Coast is well-known and respected as a trusted name on the internet. In fact, people describe it as akin to visiting with a friend. (And many people have moved to Cleveleys in particular, because of Visit Fylde Coast!)

Visit Fylde Coast is published with passion, not for the money and because it’s a job to do. That comes through in the huge breadth of content which covers everything from community events to local history, along with all the obvious stuff like beaches and town centres. We’ll tell you where the car parks, toilets and cafes are, the attractions, hotels and shops. Just for good measure we’ll tell you the hidden history of the streets you walk along – many of them have a fascinating tale to tell! Many of the hundreds of vlogs are made to suit online content and embedded in relevant webpages to bring written content to life.

People love Visit Fylde Coast. They love to receive the newsletter which is always packed full of interesting things. They use the Events Guide and webcams from the beach. They watch the vlogs and enjoy our fresh and friendly approach. And we love publishing this digital product – it’s our life’s work!
