Vi Asia’s mission is to bring authentic Vietnamese experiences to our customers, wherever they are. With the name inspired by Vị Á – Vietnamese for “Taste of Asia”, we directly source our finest artisan specialities from local producers in Vietnam, then carefully curate them so you can fully enjoy an authentic Vietnamese experience just like the locals do.

Our current offerings include specialty Vietnamese coffee beans, including the Arabica and Robusta bean varieties, and our signature Traditional Roast blend. We’re expanding our variety in the future to include tea, dried fruits, and nuts.

While Vietnam is the second largest coffee producer in the world, behind only Brazil,
Vietnamese coffee beans are not easily accessible in the UK, and speciality coffee beans from Vietnam are almost non-existent in the market. Currently, we’re the only company that roasts and imports grade-1 quality coffee beans from Vietnam, including both Robusta and Arabica variety. Even though specialty Arabica beans are more familiar with the UK consumers, only 3% of Vietnam’s coffee production consists of Arabica variety, making our grade-1 Arabica beans a rarity. Additionally, Vietnam’s signature coffee production is of the Robusta variety, and Vi Asia’s specialty Robusta beans has a more intense and richer flavour, with the tasting notes of dark chocolate and pecan nuts.

The most infamous Vietnamese coffee drink is called “ca phe sua da” – Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. First Vietnamese coffee, typically a strong variety such as Robusta beans or a traditional blend, is prepared using the traditional Vietnamese coffee filter called “phin”. Once the coffee is brewed using the Vietnamese phin filter, condensed milk can be added, and the sweet flavour of the condensed milk balances out the dark flavour from the coffee. This drink then can be enjoyed hot, or with ice – making it a perfect cool-down drink during a hot, humid summer day in Vietnam.

Vi Asia’s Vietnamese coffee experience box is designed to bring this coffee experience to our customers very easily. It includes all the necessary ingredients including Vietnamese traditional coffee, condensed milk, and the “phin” filter, so they can easily replicate the authentic taste in the comfort of their home.
