The owner, Sharon Campbell, is an experienced quilter who has been making baby quilts for family and friends for many years. She learned the art of hand and machine quilting from her grandmother when Sharon was only 8 years old. Growing up in Western Pennsylvania, Sharon continued the time-honored tradition of quilting, almost a requirement for girls growing up in rural areas of the state. Although the production of handmade quilts is usually associated with the Amish of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the art is practiced throughout the state.
For years, she has made quilts for family and friends, for use with their own children or as shower gifts for someone special. Her love of quilting is obvious in the quality of her work. Many lucky quilt recipients urged her to share her talents with others.
Many years, four children, numerous grandchildren, and family friends later, Sharon started her online business with support and encouragement from her family.

Sharon’s quilts are made of 100% cotton flannel and are easy care—machine washable and dryable. The designs are classic and are varied enough to suit just about every possible taste. The quilts are generously sized and usable as a play mat as well as a cozy wrap for Mom and baby at story time. Some of Sharon’s quilts have been passed down to new generations of babies, still in pristine condition.

Early in her quilting career, Sharon finished every quilt with hand-quilting stitches. As the business grew, she switched to machine quilting to provide a more durable product which stands up to daily use.

Though Sharon herself has a scientific background, she still enjoys designing her quilts the old-fashioned way, using graph paper and colored pencils. Seeing her designs transfer from paper to fabric gives her a satisfying feeling of accomplishment.

UBQB began its online presence in the earlier days of the World Wide Web, when the tools we take for granted today did not exist. Imagine developing a website without content management systems, image optimization, SEO monitoring, plugins, and most recently, Artificial Intelligence.

In between a full-time teaching job, raising four children and one husband, keeping up a busy household, and being a doggie mom to countless fur babies, Sharon learned the ins and outs of developing her business. Not only did she design, sew, and quilt the crib blankets, she also acted as the IT department for her fledgling business. Throughout the early days there were some growing pains, but today the company provides creative, heirloom-quality quilts for little ones throughout the country.

Quilt themes include huggable baby animals, nursery rhymes, dinosaurs, unicorns, and classic patterns. We sort the products by color as well as theme to make shopping easier.

Most of the quilts are purchased by loving grandmas, who sometimes are not as tech-savvy as the next generation. Therefore, the site is designed with ease of use and user-friendliness in mind.

The company is based in Southwest Florida, where Sharon and her family have lived for over 35 years. All products are shipped by Priority Mail at no charge to the customers.
