As an SEO veteran, he’s seen everything and has been a part of some world-leading digital campaigns and website designs.
After working on numerous contracts, with marketing agencies, and leading internal teams with corporate 500 companies, Scott’s entire department was laid off in the 2008 market crash. On his drive home after receiving the news, Scott pulled into a McDonalds parking lot and immediately began a social media story about moving his wife and small children under a bridge in Portland until he could find work.
Through the fictional, comedic stories of family life under a bridge, Scott began getting numerous job and contract offers, which quickly developed into a full-fledged consultancy and speaking circuit. Within a couple of years, the self-named Scottorth.com consultancy rebranded into a full-service digital agency known as Thrive Business Marketing.
Today Thrive offers expert level web design and digital marketing and advertising services to companies across the US and Canada… with an occasional client in and around the UK.
