The recording facility at Landen Park Studio has a superb neutral acoustic optimised for spoken word and uses a range of high-end microphones by Neumann, Rode and Shure, and high-end classic outboard including Focusrite ISA preamps.
As a production house, editing and post-production work is done in-house, using industry-leading tools such iZotope RX, Ozone and Nectar, and Avid Pro Tools Ultimate.
The Other Operation is owned and operated by Justin Hill, who has over 30 years experience in recording studio engineering and production – across music and spoken word in multiple genres.
When producing audiobooks, Justin believes in a collaborative process in which he directs the reader – somewhat like a theatre director – and coaches them to help them create their best performance.
