Our Location
We operate our tours deep inside the Aurora Zone. Our main Northern Norway tour locations are in the Vesterålen and Lofoten regions.

We collect and return our guests from our local airport (Harstad-Narvik, EVE) which has multiple daily connections between Oslo (OSL) with Norwegian and SAS. We also have pickup/drop off points in Narvik (for the Arctic Train connection to Sweden) and several of the Hurtigruten ports in the region.

Accommodation, Meals & Transport
Accommodation is either half board or full board and based in the Sortland (Vesterålen) and Leknes (Lofoten) Scandic Hotels. Meals consist of a continental buffet breakfast and dinners with locally sourced ingredients. Most of our trips also include lunches which are provided by our activity providers

Our Trips

Regular Trips
Our trips run between September and April and our base locations are Sortland in Vesterålen and Leknes in Lofoten. We run several scheduled 3,4 and 5 night fully guided trips each month.
Daytime excursions include:
• A white-tailed sea eagle fjord safari
• A visit to a local Sami reindeer farm where guests learn about Sami history and culture as well as meet and feed the reindeer
• A particularly unique experience that you will not find in any other package holiday is our visit to Andøya Space, Norway’s only operational space centre. Our guests meet a real life rocket scientist, learn about the science of the Northern Lights, the Aurora research carried out at the centre and experience ‘Spaceship Aurora’, a simulated aurora research mission into space. This is a great experience for all ages
Other seasonal excursions are also available on request such as husky sledding, snowmobiling and whale watching.

Bespoke Trips
Bespoke packages can be designed for tour agents based on their customers’ requirements. The trips can include any of the daytime excursions above or other activities such as a visit to LOFTR Viking Museum or a boat trip to Lofoten’s famous Trollfjord.

Photography Trips
These 7 and 10 night photography workshop expeditions are aimed at those who wish to take the very best photographs of the Northern Lights by night and arctic landscapes by day. The photography trips have much looser schedules and the timetable is mostly governed by the weather, moonlight and aurora forecasts to ensure that our guests get the very best opportunities to put their newly acquired skills to the test. The trips take a maximum of 6 guests and are co-run by Chris Percival and award-winning photographer Terry Steeley.

What makes us different to other operators?

Enjoy the Silence
Our choice of location is very quiet during the winter season. We choose to operate our trips away from busy, light polluted locations such as Tromsø. This means our guests visit a larger variety of stunning picturesque locations by day and by night, with the reassurance that they have the time to enjoy the scenery and take unspoilt photos without the tourist ‘hustle and bustle’ going on around them. Vesterålen and Lofoten are considered the most photogenic and beautiful parts of Northern Norway.

Small Groups
We only run our trips with small groups with a maximum of 8 guests. This allows us to give a much more personalised and private experience to our guests, as well as allowing us to reach locations other larger vehicles cannot.

Everyone Welcome
Our trips cater for all ages and group types, from single travellers to honeymoon couples and family groups including children.

Aurora Chasing Every Night
The majority of other Northern Lights package holidays will normally include aurora chasing on 1 or 2 nights of a typical 4 or 5 night trip. Additional nights would be charged as extra. To maximise the chances of seeing the lights all of our trips include aurora chasing every night.

Food
Norway is well known as being one of the most expensive countries in Europe and in Northern Norway food prices are particularly high. This is why many operators do not always include lunches and dinners in their packages, introducing hidden costs that guests may not be expecting. All of our trips include breakfast and dinner in the price and many excursions also include lunches.

Fully Guided
From the first minute they arrive to last minute when they leave all of our guests will be accompanied by British Aurora Chaser guide, Chris Percival. Chris has a reputation amongst his previous guests for his determination and dedication to ensuring all of his guests have the best experience possible.

Memories to Last a Lifetime
Seeing the Aurora and the sheer scale and beauty of the Northern Norway landscape will give any guest an amazing experience. Our drive and dedication elevates this to another level, ensuring guests have a truly unique, personalised and memorable experience of the very best that Norway has to offer.
