The IEP Attorney—Special Education Lawyer Serving Pennsylvania Families

I am a Special Education lawyer and advocate. I started in this area of law by helping my own son, which prompted me to change my legal career to exclusively practice Education Law. I have secured alternative placements and compensatory education funds for many students across Southeastern Pennsylvania. Call me to discuss your child and see what I can do for you. FREE consultations are available. (484) 212-1763

About Henry Young Esq.

Henry Young has practiced law for over 20 years in both Pennsylvania and New York. He was introduced to special education in 1997 when he clerked at a special education law firm before attending law school in St. Paul Minnesota. Henry also attended The Brooklyn Law School as a Guest Scholar in 2000. Thereafter he practiced law in Manhattan representing investors who had been defrauded in the stock market. As he puts it, “at the time I graduated from law school the news was awash with corporate scandals. I was hired by pension funds to pursue these corporations and get back the money.” In 2006 Henry and his wife relocated to Southeastern Pennsylvania where his wife grew up. Henry instantly took to life in Southeastern Pennsylvania working at Legal Aid in West Chester and continuing his interest in securities fraud before returning to special education law.

Henry’s decision to return to special education law was prompted by his son being recognized as a student with special needs. As Henry states, “I watched him struggle at school, and like any other parent, you want to do the best you can for your child. Special education can be complicated and emotional. You have to deal with the medical issues and then the educational issues and it’s a seemingly endless procession of upsetting phone calls to doctors and teachers. As I put more and more time in with my son I decided to change my career and focus on special education matters.” Initially, Henry joined an established education law firm before setting up his own practice. “Managing my own practice gives me the flexibility to meet the individual needs of my clients. Every child is different, whether it’s a placement issue, an evaluation by an educational neuropsychologist, or a different IEP, you simply can’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Managing my own practice allows me to respond quickly to parents, to really listen and act accordingly.”

Do you need to talk to a Special Education Lawyer now? I love to talk to parents, as a special needs parent myself this is my passion. If you are in PA call me. (484) 212-1763
