The Jewellery Valuation Centre

The Jewellery Valuation Centre is New Zealandʼs premium valuation service for all fine jewellery and watches. Our team of experienced jewellery valuers and gemmologists take great care in providing you with accurate, objective and convenient jewellery valuations every time.

There’s no need to leave your valuables or have them sent away, we provide while-you-wait jewellery valuations. At your appointment time we’ll take all necessary details and photographs and in most cases you’ll receive your completed schedule immediately. If we need to wait for other pricing information it can take up to 48 hours before we send your schedule.

Most of our clients are looking for an insurance valuation and we provide jewellery valuations that both you and your insurer can trust. If your jewellery is lost, stolen or damaged, the replacement cost valuation provides clear specifications so your jeweller can make an accurate replacement.

We also provide consultations if you have jewellery to sell. Our jewellery valuers conduct a thorough market assessment and identify opportunities for where you may get the best return for your jewellery sale. Our Gemmologists reports give you and any buyer confidence that your jewellery items quality and specifications are accurately listed.

Our jewellery valuation fees are transparent and is based on the number of items and not the value of your jewellery.

Our teams leader is Michael Emerson who for more than 20 years has been the go-to valuer for in-depth knowledge of fine jewellery and gemstones. He provides accurate, independent and honest advice on high-value jewellery. Michael is a Graduate Gemologist (GIA) and fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (FGA). With a passion for gems and jewellery he travels regularly to keep up-to-date with the latest in gem identification, grading methods and valuation skills.
