The Hands That Shape LLC

Our fondness for crafting started early in life with us both growing up in families with a passion for creating and shaping materials into treasures with their hands and tools.

Bringing a laser into our workshop has allowed our creative sides to go wild. Initially, we focused on designing and making nature themed laser cut and engraved wooden art, incorporating various degrees of etching to make details pop, and cutting intricate shapes that showcase the laser’s extraordinary capabilities. We took the time to ensure every detail is just right, including adding handmade mahogany frames (for some products) that make the art the central focus point on your wall or desk.

Since then, we have begun to explore what we could create with other mediums such as paper, leather, leatherettes, acrylics and exotic woods. We really enjoy working with paper and building intricate designs one layer at a time, watching the image come together. Finding the right designs, materials, and colors that complement each other has been really exciting and allowed us to experiment with products that were very different from our other initial offerings.

We love tinkering with new designs and materials in our workshop to see what we can come up with. Honestly, we love all of our designs and would have a hard time picking an absolute favorite one. We hope you will find enjoyment with our pieces and can find the perfect location for one or more of them within your house, office or anywhere else you enjoy being.

If you’re located in Minnesota, or just visiting, you can find us at Eclectic Alliance in Faribault. We joined Eclectic Alliance when they opened in August of 2022. Eclectic Alliance is a collection of nearly three dozen individual small businesses. The Hands That Shape, LLC currently has 100 square foot booth space that features many of our products from centerpiece wooden wall art, paper art, jewelry, ornaments and many other items that we update seasonally.

We also participate in multiple art and craft shows throughout the year in Minnesota and surrounding areas. We often feature new items at each show. Stop in and say hi and imagine where each piece fits within your home or office.
