Our name
The Ancient Greek word te-ra-pe-te (therapist / healer) was inscribed on clay tablets in the Linear syllabic script (c.1400 Bc). The tablets were found in excavations at the palace of Knossos and other places in Crete and Greece.

Koroneiki, the best olive variety for oil production, has been cultivated in Crete since the Minoan era.
At TERAPETE we work solely with producers who use organic farming practices and strive to preserve the biodiversity of the olive grove with its thousands of microorganisms and aromatic herbs that give the oil its unforgettable taste.

HERBS AND TEAS
The hot and dry Cretan summer forces aromatic herbs to produce extra essential oils to keep moisture in their leaves. This way, the plants gain powerful aromas and become rich in minerals and trace elements with many healing properties.
The herbs we are offering come from organic crops. The farmers plant and harvest them by hand because they want to preserve the balance of soil microorganisms. They dry the plants using natural methods and, after analysis and quality controls, package them carefully to preserve all the aromas and valuable elements.
