TCFD training

This is a short, practical 60-minute course.

What is the TCFD?
As background. TCFD stands for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and was created by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to develop recommendations on the types of information that companies should disclose to support investors, lenders, and insurance underwriters in appropriately assessing and pricing a specific set of risks—risks related to climate change. These reports are becoming mandatory for most organisations in the United Kingdom.

All of the above have obligations they need to fulfil before 2025. Depending on the size and type of business or pension scheme, these deadlines vary and some have reporting obligations they need to meet now.

What differentiates us from other courses?
One word – Focus. What differentiated our course from others on the market is that it is totally focused on what TCFD obligations boards, trustees and executives in the UK have in their roles and what they have to do in order to complete their first TCFD report.

Other courses in the marketplace are much longer, often in excess of 8 hours, are expensive and have wider sustainability and ESG content. While useful for executives, we understand many executives need to understand the TCFD and their obligations in the shortest possible time.

We understand that executives are busy and very time-stretched, and the TCFD obligations and reports are new obligations they have to fulfil. For this reason we have kept the course short and completely focused on only the required content to get started.

This course comes in 11 modules of between 3 – 8 minutes per module. The full course takes 60 minutes and is designed to be taken in their own time.
