Tales from the Balcony

I live in the Haute Savoie, in a small ski resort overlooking the lake. This is an area that attracts visitors in winter and summer. The area is popular with English speakers as well as the French due to its close proximity to Geneva with its international instructions and its airport. When I started the blog I was intending to have a shop selling travel journals, photographs of the area and ebooks etc. At present I feel I don’t have enough traffic to warrant opening a shop. I would also like to have affiliate links but again, I need more traffic. I realise this is not really a business description but it’s an opportunity to outline where I am at the moment. I don’t want to be a site that only talks about only the best restaurants or events as there are plenty of big sites with multiple writers who are doing that. My site aims to give background for the curious and create a sense of place, hopefully bringing it to life and encouraging people to visit the area. My readers are mostly in the UK but I would like to attract more readers in Geneva and affiliate links from businesses around the lake.
