Southern Mess Boutique is all about empowering Women by supporting each other through community and fashion. Southern Mess was founded in 2016 by Barbara Pshigoda who was looking for a way to help provide for her family and make online shopping easy and painless. What started out as a side gig quickly turned into a full time business. Barb left her career in Education to pursue her dreams and passion. At Southern Mess we carry comfy, easy to wear trendy clothing designed for busy Women on the go and shipped right to your door so you can look and feel your best. We offer convenience from a brand you trust. We most recently renovated our warehouse to include a showroom where we host Private Shopping parties, VIP events, and give our customers the opportunity to come out and shop in person. Barb has a love for helping others and building relationships with her customers is a top priority.

Southern Mess keeps fashion trends attainable and makes them easy so that they can flow with your closet. Barb is a busy working Mom herself so she understands the importance of having clothing you feel good wearing, that can take you from day to night, and options for that weekend away or much needed vacation.

While Barb was building her business, she was teaching full time and began her Southern Mess journey with only 2 small clothes racks, posting on social media, and shipping orders from her coffee table while her kids slept. In fact, her first year in business, her Mom bought her a Cricut machine as a celebration for getting her Master’s Degree in Education and she began putting custom monograms on everything. That first holiday season she did over 500 different monogram gifts for people while her babies slept. Her hard work paid off though and she soon transitioned into a full boutique that is growing daily. The small town charm remains and her determination to stand out, relate to her customers, and be present enables her to stay at the focus of her business.
