Sophie's Great War Tours is a multi award-winning specialist travel agent, creating exceptional expert-led, private WW1 & WW2 battlefield tours across Europe and beyond. We are experts in history and hospitality, delivering unforgettable immersive historical travel experiences. Our core expertise is researching family military history, and creating itineraries that follow in the footsteps of a particular soldier. This allows family members to learn about either the First or Second World War, but to place it in the context of it how it impacted their family. I started my tour guiding business out of a love of military history, the fascination of being able to stand in the exact spots where history was made and how this created the world we live in today. I wanted to play my part in keeping the stories of so many thousands of young men and women, that gave their all for our today, to protect those stories and keep them being told. Our mission is to make history personal, powerful, and unforgettable. Geographical reach: The majority of our day to to day work is across the Western Front, the 400 or so miles of landscape from the coast of Belgium down to the border of Switzerland. We believe that history should be enjoyed by everyone, and my team adapt to support all guests. My Guides: What sets us apart is our guiding team. I am so lucky to have them, and they do an incredible job, researching soldiers movements and telling that history so sensitively told.
