Sex Therapy Zurich
Switzerland, Zurich
Sex therapy in English, German and Polish. In my sexologist's practice in Zurich and online I focus on helping individuals, couples and constellations go back to good sex.
Main Services
My areas of expertise include:
– Couples with mismatched libido. It’s not always what you think! Most people assume that in heterosexual marriages and long-term relationships it is the woman who loses interest in intimacy but I regularly see couples where it’s the man who has very low libido.
– Low sex drive. This is a very common concern for new moms and perimenopausal women but it also happens to men quite a lot, due to age, stress and other factors.
– Female orgasm difficulties. So many women live for decades without experiencing orgasms but it’s better to find help later than never. Some female clients come to me, trying to broaden their pleasure potential or have orgasms during intercourse.
– Sexuality during the fertility journey, pregnancy and after baby. This topic is very close to my hear, as a mom of a schoolboy and a history of pregnancy loss. Returning to intimacy after becoming parents is one of the keys of rebuilding the relationship identity. Many couples experience sexual difficulties while trying to conceive, during pregnancy and in the first years of parenthood.
– Consensual nonmonogamy. Open relationships and different forms of polyamory are becoming increasingly popular and enter the mainstream. Many couples are not prepared to make that lifestyle change. I help individuals and couples in their decision making process and navigating early nonmonogamy, as well as constellations of three or more persons trying to solve their intimate and relationship challenges.
– Intimate and relationship problems of expats and expat couples. Moving countries or continents is one of the biggest stressors in life and can shake the strongest relationships. Singles are also facing new difficulties, while trying to integrate in the new country. All this has an impact on sex life.
– Issues of sexuality and faith. Growing up in Roman Catholic Poland I know firsthand how conservative religious attitudes can shape a person’s ability to enjoy sex. My aim as a sex therapist is not to go against faith principles but to understand and help my clients navigate within their beliefs system while enjoying intimacy and their own bodies.
– Sex education of children and teens. With over 15 years of experience as sex educator I support parents of young children as well as teenagers as they address issues of puberty, sexual health and building healthy intimate relationships.
I offer regular workshops about sexuality for women and couples in Zurich and other cities in Switzerland as well as online sex counseling.
About me:
I felt the calling to work in the area of human sexuality very early on. When I was 16 I had a dream to become a sex educator and at the age of 20 I did. I have over 15 years of experience offering comprehensive sexuality education.
My formal education includes clinical sexology, sex coaching, life coaching, and psychological workshop facilitation. I decided to combine my expertise as a sexologist with in-depth training in psychotherapy and am currently in advanced training to become a Certified Bioenergetic Analyst. This is a body-oriented method pf psychotherapy, rooted in classical psychoanalysis but enriched by the somatic therapy component.
My sex therapy practice is based on the Good Enough Sex philosophy, which I presented at TEDx Zurich conference in 2019. I believe that joyful intimacy, even if not perfect, is better than the idealized vision of sex many of us strive for. I encourage my clients to ditch perfectionism and revisit their beliefs about sex.
The sex therapy and coaching methodology that’s the foundation of my training is the MEBES model by dr. Patti Britton. This is a holistic view of human sexuality, encompassing both the mind, the body and the emotions and the energy in the couple.
As an expat living in Switzerland, I bring a unique perspective for other expat clients who are struggling with their own identity and relationship challenges after moving to a foreign country.
My expert comments have been frequently featured in the media, including online outlets and print magazines, breakfast TV shows and my own radio show “The Good Sex” in the biggest Polish news-talk radio station TOK FM: I’ve been featured in Cosmopolitan, Insider, PopSugar, as well as Polish Women’s Health, Elle Magazine, to name but a few.
Although my work focus is on heterosexual clients, my practice is open to people of diverse gender and sexual identities as well as people in consensual nonmonogamy contexts.
I am a member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, International Institute of Bioenergetic Analysis and Süddeutsche Gesellschaft für Bioenergetische Analyse.
