With over 200 five star reviews, our guests get excellent service and are able to get the premium hospitality and personalized service they are looking for.
A typical example of our service is the guest Ali. His travel party of eight had plans to go to the villa they rented on St. John. They reached out about 2-3 weeks before their arrival on island, for pricing. They needed a Virgin Islands water taxi to St. John. We called and reviewed their itinerary 1-2 days before their arrival.
On the day of arrival, we tracked their flight arrival and had a driver waiting to pick them up. Their flight was delayed by 42 minutes. We notified the driver and captain of the delay, and the team shifted their times. Once they touched down, collected their luggage, they were loaded into the land shuttle. The driver knew the routine and dropped them off to captain at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook.
The captain helped transfer them to the boat, luggage and all. After a quick safety review, chilled beer, water, sodas, and koozies all around they were off! Captain effortlessly cast off and throttled the boat up to speed planing across the water. They pulled into The National Parks Dock in Cruz Bay, St. John. Guests were dropped off and caught their rental car for the week. They had an AMAZING Vacation!
The day before they were to catch their flight, we sent them a text with their pickup time and captain’s phone number. They were at the dock about 10 minutes early…captain was early too. (If you are on time, you are late. If you are early, you are on time.) They were brought to AYH Marina in Red Hook, where they off loaded and a driver was there waiting to pick them up and take them to the airport.
We service both the USVI and The BVI. If you are looking for a St Thomas water taxi to Tortola, we can help you. Many of our guests fly into STT airport then we provide both land and water transport. They may be catching their term charter, or staying at a resort like Long Bay Beach Resort or Sebastian’s by the Sea.
Many of the term charters need a BVI Water Taxi to bring them to their term charter. Popular destinations in Road Town, include The Moorings, Sunsail Charters, or BVI Yacht Charters. We’ve brought guests by Virgin Islands water taxi to Village Cay Marina where they were able to catch their brokered term charter.
We’ve also brought guests to the recently re-opened Peter Island. It was leveled in 2018 by hurricanes Irma and Maria. It took them almost seven years to organize the financing and then rebuild the facilities. We are happy to have it back up and running.
In The BVI, we’ve water taxied guests to Nanny Cay where Waypoints Charters, , Marine Max, Horizon Yacht Charters, Virgin Yacht Charters, and Navigare Yacht Charters reside. We had one guest know that he needed to get to Nanny Cay…but didn’t know which company he had chartered with…yep, we can get you there, but you need to know where you are going!
*We Are Different*
What sets us apart from other water taxis is our work ethic. We run a different kind of USVI water taxi. Amy is central to our success. So many guests love working with Amy. She offers a happy greeting on the other side of the phone. She has worked in hospitality for nearly 10 years, ensuring the guests get what they need. She has a wealth of knowledge about The USVI and BVI. Everyday she helps one extra person a little more, even if they aren’t going to book with us. She helps them with honest information about the island and planning their vacation.
Great relationships are key to great service. From the driver’s down to the captains. We start with making sure we have a great working relationship with our captains. We also are highly focused on ensuring everyone has the right information when they need it. Making everyone’s job easier is fundamental to everyone’s success.
As a point of success on how we run our business, we’ve won The LuxLife Best Water Taxi in The Virgin Islands Award for the last 5 years…and counting! It is appreciated to be recognized for our dedicated hard work in running a fantastic Virgin Islands Water Taxi. We are also proud of the fact that we’ve never had a guest miss their flight since we started in 2018.
We take care of customs for our guests. Taking a guest internationally takes extra planning and expertise. In the planning process, we collect their passports to fill out the ship’s manifest and ensure everything is in order for them. Case in point, if their passport is expired, our system will alert us to this error. If they don’t have a valid passport, we won’t be able to bring them into The BVI.
*BVI Day Trips*
We also do day trips on our boats. Some guests want to go to The BVI stopping at The Baths or Jost Van Dyke. We are usually able to incorporate a couple snorkel stops on these BVI Day Trips from St. Thomas or St. John. Honestly, the best part of every day trip is the snorkel stops.
*Virgin Gorda*
The Baths are just AMAZING. With giant granite boulders littered over the beach, falling into the water, there is nothing like it in the world. Exploring the hot sand beach is almost other worldly. But the fun begins when you snorkel The Baths, seeing the world change from above the surface…to below the water is mind blowing! Usually, captain will be able to stop off at The Indians, The Aquarium, or The Caves, for some additional snorkel and exploration! Valid Passport is Required.
*Jost Van Dyke*
Look’n for a St Thomas to Jost Van Dyke day trip? White Bay is the most beautiful and iconic beaches in the world! Whether you’re wanting to stop and swim into The Soggy Dollar Bar in White Bay and grab a Pain Killer, their signature drink. Or Stopping by Foxy’s or Corsair’s. You can hike up to the Bubbly Pool, pretend you are stranded on the Sand Spit, or snorkel the Sandy Cay. A day trip boat is your best bet to enjoy both the bar and nature. Valid Passport is Required.
*West BVI Islands Tour*
Maybe you want a combination of bar hop and nature…this is your best bet. You’ll hit world class snorkeling at the Indians, or you can snorkel The Caves which inspired the novel… Treasure Island, but Robert Louis Stevenson. The Willy-T is a floating restaurant and bar right in the bay. You can do shots, jump off its 2nd story into the water below. You can swing back around to Jost Van Dyke to wrap up your day before heading back to the US. Valid Passport is Required.
*USVI Boat Day Trips*
We offer a variety of USVI based boat day trips. St. John is an amazing island for a day trip. Two thirds of St. John is designated as a National Park. It is largely undeveloped. Many of the best snorkel spots are not accessible by land. A boat gives you access to the best coral reefs in the USVI.
Lime-Out is a floating taco bar based out of Coral Bay on St. John. The short ribs are amazing! The menu is a combination of fusion tacos to make your mouth happy. Enjoy your lunch while dangling your legs in the ocean. They have bar seats, or lilly pads for your whole party to sit together. The fish are just as hungry and will quickly gobble up any food that falls into the water, with a background of 80’s music humming along.
Off of St. Thomas is Pizza Pi…a boat converted into a pizza to go shop, located in Christmas Cove. Place your order early to have it ready on time. Usually the order is placed at the beginning of your day trip. Hit a snorkel stop off of St. Thomas or St. John before grabbing your lunch. They have a pizza delivery dinghy that will bring your hot’n ready pizza’s to your boat…much easier than docking up to Pizza Pi…
You can also set up a custom private charter. One of the most memorable custom charters was for Chris. His grandfather had built four houses on Tortola. Chris and his wife wanted to go see the houses. We brought them into The BVI, dropped them off in Road Town and had a van waiting to take them up the road to the first three houses. They took pictures and stopped for lunch at Pussers. Captain waited at the boat for them to finish. They went around the West side of Tortola and back up to Cane Garden Bay where the fourth house was located. Add in some swimming, drinks, and a comfortable boat. Last stop was Smuggler’s Cove before heading back to St. Thomas. We arranged full transport from their hotel and back, we love to make it easy!
Another unique day trip is to hit the Reef Bay Trail. Start your hike in the morning and descend down the Reef Bay Trail. There are multiple stops along the way of signs telling what types of tree you are passing along with a good history lesson. Ruins of building dot the path from the previous homesteaders of the plantation. At the bottom of the trail is the sugar refining mill. They would harvest the sugar cane and turn it into granulated sugar. The other important stop is the Taino sacred site. As we entered, we could feel the special and calm place we were at. It was beautiful and scenic. Hieroglyphic type carvings were inscribed in the rock from the previous island inhabitants. It was worth the extra hike. To avoid the hike back up, we had Captain on Relentless pick us up at the bottom of the trail.
*The Salty Piracy Adventure*
Ever wanted to do a treasure hunt? I mean a real one? Solving clues, going to locations on islands and then digging up a buried treasure at the end. This is The Salty Piracy Adventure. You start by “Borrowing” a map from the Pirate’s Treasure Museum on St. Thomas. It was awarded best Tourist Attraction in 2023 by Camille Johansen. I won’t ruin the adventure, but it turns into an island hopping adventure ending in digging up a buried treasure.
*Interesting Facts about The Founders*
Kenny & Amy took a Caribbean cruise in 2014. Their first stop was in St. Thomas. They went to church in the morning then to a safari to Sapphire Bay that afternoon for their first time snorkeling ever. Both donned their snorkel gear and headed out. The Sergeant Major fish were abundant, curious, and nibbling. Both came out of the water on to the beach and agreed, the would be open to coming back to St. Thomas again.
In July 2018, they launched SeaHorse Water Taxi. Kenny found himself on that same beach, with the red roofed building. Their first boat was Relentless, shipped from South Carolina. In naming their 2nd boat, they went back and forth…Kenny was in the camp for Endurance after Ernie Shackleton, Amy’s suggestion of Tenacity won out in the end.
Kenny has a bachelor’s degree in plant biology along with an MBA in Strategy & Entrepreneurship. Amy has an undergrad in General Business Management, and completed her masters in education in 2024. Both believe it is important to be a part of the community along with being responsible in the environment.
