Starting out as a consultant to luxury European footwear manufacturers and for retailers throughout the UK & Ireland, its founder Garry Moore, wanted to create a store that threw away the perception of a stuffy, traditional family shoe shop to make way for an appealing store more suited to a modern family, but always keeping traditional values of service. In doing so, Schuberts Footwear was born.
Located in southwest London, the leafy village of Barnes provides the perfect backdrop to come and browse our collections. With easy access from the surrounding areas and Central London. Venues such as the Wetlands Centre, Olympic Cinema and its many other independent shops, boutiques, riverside pubs & restaurants; make Barnes a great place to spend a day or even a weekend.
Our women’s collection has something for everyone who wants to look great. We have a fantastic range of everyday flats and trainers, but also plenty of options for professional women who need to dress up for work. Edgy fashion brands like Flower Mountain, The Hoff & PhilipHog sit alongside classics such as Peter Kaiser, Gabor & Legero. For the contemporary woman, designers such as Pons Quintana, Candice Cooper & Arche are guaranteed to set you apart from the crowd.
For the guys we drill down to weekend wear and turn our eyes to labels such as Birkenstock for everyday and the Australian favourite Blundstone for the more adventurous minded. On rainy days, Ara is a German brand that’s great for styles using Gore-Tex, guaranteed to keep your feet dry. And Nero Giardini is for those who want to keep their casual look smart in a way that only an Italian design house can. Each of our brands have something different and unique to offer the modern man who wants to be stylish and comfortable at the same time.
In our children’s department, we maintain our most traditional elements of service. It’s important to make sure every pair fits perfectly, so we choose from the industry’s highest acclaimed footwear brands, such as Start-Rite, Petasil, Superfit & Geox and have a great back-to-school range. We like to promote good foot health and development for the little ones by properly measuring their feet and selecting the right shoes for their needs. Our goal is to provide the best possible service and selection of shoes to keep your child’s feet healthy and happy.
