Run by Chaos is a lifestyle apparel brand for people who know how to own their chaos – from procrastination checklists to boomer yoga to shirts that represent the yin and yang of chaos and balance through comfort items like ramen, music, or winding down with an adult beverage.
The brand was created by Kim Bearden, a lifelong shirt and hoodie lover who changed careers later in life to follow her passion for apparel that reflects what life actually feels like. Nothing is overly polished here on purpose. The humor is smart but grounded. The chaos is relatable. The vibe is: “I’ve got 30 items on my to-do list, forgot why I walked into this room, but let’s go get boba and ramen.”
Every design is intentional. We don’t flood the store with generic slogans. Instead, we lean into the shirts that hit home. Run by Chaos is about owning the mess, making it relatable, and not pretending everything is fine when maybe it’s not.
We sell through Shopify using print-on-demand, which lets us stay agile and experiment without overproducing. Our traffic is mostly organic, built through Google search, real-world word of mouth, and social content that feels honest instead of curated.
This brand isn’t trying to be everything to everyone. It’s for people who are wired a little differently, a little sarcastic, and a little tired of holding it all together. That’s who we design for, because that’s who we are.
