Quintessential Poetry Network: A Living Archive of Empathy and Expression The Quintessential Poetry Network is a visionary platform founded by Dr. Michael Anthony Ingram—poet, educator, and podcast host—dedicated to cultivating empathy, healing, and emotional intelligence through the power of poetry. What began as a personal archive has evolved into a global movement, offering tools, conversations, and creative experiences that invite reflection, connection, and transformation. As a poet, Dr. Ingram’s work has garnered widespread recognition. His forthcoming book, Metaphorically Screaming, published by Whiskey City Press, explores the emotional terrain of vulnerability, resilience, and metaphor as a healing language. His poetry has also earned three Pushcart Prize nominations for 2025, including “False Statement” (Disturb the Universe Magazine), “Catherine: A Tribute to François Truffaut’s Jules et Jim (1962)” (Crossroads Magazine), and “My Mother and My Father” (Social Possibilities anthology by Prolific Pulse Press). These honors affirm his place within the literary community and reflect the emotional resonance of his voice. At the heart of the Network is the Quintessential Poetry Podcast, a live platform where poets from all backgrounds and locations worldwide share their craft. Since its establishment in 2018, the podcast has broadcast over 450 episodes. The podcast conducts conversational interviews that explore the essence of poetry within the realms of the mind, heart, and soul. Whether through traditional forms or spoken word, each episode invites listeners into a space of authenticity and emotional depth. The podcast has received critical acclaim and high rankings across multiple platforms: In 2024, the podcast was ranked #2 worldwide on both Feedspot and Podcast Tonight. The podcast is ranked #20 all-time on Goodpods.com’s poetry podcast list and #5 among the chart's top motivational podcasts. The NYC World Podcast Network selected the podcast as a staff favorite three times in 2024. These accolades reflect the podcast’s expanding influence and its role as a hub for poetic dialogue and emotional resonance. The show earned nominations for the 2025 Best Arts and Culture Award from the People's Choice Podcast Awards, the Black Podcasters Awards, and the Podcast Tonight Awards, solidifying its cultural influence. Complementing the podcast is Dr. Ingram’s creation of the Poetic Empathy Cards—a deck of poetic reflections designed to help individuals cultivate empathy, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. Inspired by the voices of poets like Langston Hughes, Pablo Neruda, Rumi, and Richard Blanco, each card is a vessel of lived experience and poetic lineage. These cards are not surface-level affirmations; they are invitations to reflect deeply and connect authentically. In 2026, Dr. Ingram will launch a new venture: Let Poetry Ring Conversations, a more intimate and emotionally attuned offering than his previous interview-focused work. This series will be a space where poets commune—not perform—and where poetry is shared as presence, not promotion. It honors the quiet power of poetic exchange and invites participants to ring poetry into the world with intention, vulnerability, and grace. Together, these offerings form a cathedral of empathy—an evolving archive that honors legacy while inviting new voices to join the chorus. Whether through a podcast episode, a poetic card, or a quiet conversation, Quintessential Poetry Network invites people to listen deeply, reflect openly, and discover healing through shared language.
